Common questions
How long will a candle last?
Burn time depends on the vessel size. For the fullest, most even burn, let the wax melt out to the edges of the container each time you light it.
Why has my candle tunnelled down the middle?
Almost always the first burn. Wax has a memory, so if the first burn is put out before the melted pool reaches the edge of the container, it will follow that same path every time after. Let the first burn run for a couple of hours.
How are your candles made?
Our candles are hand-poured in small batches, made to be clean-burning and long-lasting.
Can I reuse the vessel?
Yes, and we would rather you did. Pour just-boiled water into the finished container, wait for the last of the wax to lift and set on top, then lift it out and wash the container with warm soapy water.
Candle or reed diffuser?
Candles suit the rooms you sit in for a while. Reed diffusers work well in spaces you pass through, offering a steady, gentle scent without a flame.
